Nursing Services:

Our 24 hour nursing and personal care program ensure optimal comfort for each of our residents. Under supervision of a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse, our fantastic teams of Personal Support Workers assist with all activities of daily living. Medication Administration is provided by our registered nursing staff and our 24 hour call bell monitoring system links our residents to assistance at any time of the night or day.

Social Worker:

Our trained and qualified Social Workers offers informal resident counseling to assist residents in dealing with issues related to stress, loneliness, boredom, depression and other personal/emotional problems associated with adaption to the long term care environment.

Dementia/Special Needs Services:

Our long term care home provides a 21-bed (private room) secured environment with specialized services for residents requiring a high-level of security due to elopement or wandering tendencies. Referred to as Lake Rosseau, this home area strives to provide the least amount of stimulation for its residents by providing specifically designed recreational programs for the residing residents.

Volunteer Services:

Our home is very thankful for the community members/family members who volunteer their time to provide friendly visits with residents, assist with transporting residents to/from activities or outings, run the Main Street Caf located in the main lobby, attend family auxiliary, and much, much more.  We are always looking for more volunteers, if you're interested in becoming a volunteer at our home, please contact Recreation at ext. 1044.

Housekeeping & Laundry Services:

Lakelands housekeeping staff supply our residents with routine general housekeeping services in addition to ensuring that the remainder of the home remains in a clean state.

Laundry is sent to the West Parry Sound Health Centre and is washed in the industrial wash machines as required by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. It is important to note that not all clothing can tolerate the temperatures that must be reached in order to ensure that the Ministries standards are met.

For your convenience, wash machines and dryers are located in each Family Room for families and residents to use free of charge. Washing Detergent and Fabric Softeners are not provided.
